Sylvia Herron has emerged as a prolific, consistently engaging vocalist on the St. Louis music scene. Known for her high energy performances and musical diversity, she has been the delight of many audiences including local, national and international. Sylvia began singing at the tender age of three in the children’s choir at the church where her father was assistant pastor. Her gospel roots are unmistakably evident in her unique, soul-stirring sound that has caused even the quintessential music skeptic to stop and take notice.
Throughout her career, Sylvia has performed with and/or opened for several national recording artists such as the Temptations, the Four Tops, Cameo, George Duke, Rachelle Farrell, and Roy Ayers. She won international acclaim, and received rave reviews as part of a music ensemble that toured several European countries such as Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, and Italy. She was lead vocalist for saxophonist, Oliver Sain, for over 5 years from the late 80’s to early 90’s. She has been the lead vocalist for the Mystic Voyage Band of St. Louis, MO for over 10 years. Also, to her credit, Sylvia has made numerous recordings ranging from commercial jingles to studio tracks.
Sylvia has made her mark as a multi-dimensional vocalist who is as equally at home with performing jazz and R&B as she is with performing urban contemporary, pop, and gospel
DAVID GREEN – BIO
David Green, a native born St. Louisian has been providing music since 1984 as a vocalist and keyboardist. He has a degree in music performing Arts and education. His eclectic repertoire spans a wide range of many styles of music, such as big band, reggae, hip-hop, neo soul, pop, blues, traditional ethnic folk songs, traditional and contemporary jazz, and of course, classical Motown and R&B!
Highlights of David’s musical journey include appearances with and/or opened for: national recording artists Roy Ayers, Pieces of A Dream, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Taylor Dane, Bruce Purse, Cameo, George Duke, Rachelle Farrell, Tony Terry, Lynne Fiddmont, Theo Peoples and Tom Jones. David has also had the distinct honor of providing musical accompaniment for several theatrical productions in St. Louis! Also, to his credit, he has made numerous recordings, ranging from commercial jingles to studio recording sessions on several CD projects.
David has been a part of several bands around town for over 30 years in the business, one in particular, Mystic Voyage Band for 25 years.
